TF Automation prepares for Bradford Manufacturing Weeks 2020 virtual event
The Covid 19 pandemic has required a rethink around how the 2020 event can run, but that it should go ahead in some form was never in question, neither was TF Automation’s involvement.
We were still really keen to take part in Bradford Manufacturing Weeks again and open our doors to local schools and students even if “virtually”. The format of our site visit and tour has worked well for the past two years and we have been planning how to deliver that remotely.
We are engaging with “The Working Academy” at The University of Bradford to create a video of our site tour and presentation. Our video will be created “live” and will be a combination of the original presentation combined with machine automation footage. We also plan to send out packs of samples and materials to school to reference during the presentation.
Karen Pedersen, Marketing Manager at TF Automation, commented, “It has been an interesting challenge to create a video of our site visit whilst still trying to make it engaging and interactive. Last year we had tripled our site visit numbers from the first year and really wanted to ensure we could support schools which we had engaged with. We also hope to attract some new schools too.”
She concludes “It is really important to engage with local students and make them aware of the opportunities in engineering and manufacturing in their local community. We wish the organisers every success in this year’s event and it is good to see so many manufacturers still willing to take part when considering the difficult challenges that this year has brought.”
